And it’s no wonder since Volvo V60 is expected to do very well in Germany. Sleek new body lines with sloped roofline and rear quarter panel gradually diminishing rear quarter window gives it a very sporty look side-on. Volvo demonstration of producing one of the safest cars on the planet has taken yet another quantum leap. With added Advanced Stability Control and Corner Traction Control it’s no wonder Volvo has earned and continues to maintain its reputation as one of the safest cars on the market. Build to comfortably accommodate 5 adults it also feature 40/20/40 spilt rear seat arrangement so that the rear seats can be folded flat significantly increasing its loading space. It’s highly likely that there will be two possibly three engine choices once the V60 has landed here. Highly sophisticated and powerful T6 3 litre 6 cylinder engine and D5 2.4 litre 5 cylinder twin turbo engine. Both engines will be capable of delivering reasonable performance due to its higher output levels but with respectable fuel economy of 10l/100km for the petrol variant and 5.4l/100km from the diesel. Diesel V60 will channel its authority through six speed automatic or manual transmission. Petrol V60 will benefit from Volvo second generation Geartronic six speed automatic transmission promising improved faster gear changes. Both Volvo V60 variants will be equipped with four wheel drive system. Expected arrival date for Australia is scheduled for first quarter of 2011.
