Whilst we never had the pleasure to experience Volkswagen flagship sedan the Phaeton here in Australia since its 2002 release the Volkswagen may reconsider its long term position on its premium class vehicle despite less then favourable recognition in the US and Europe in recent years following surprising if not significant increase in demand in China for the recently updated Volkswagen Phaeton with almost 12,000 units of sale in 2011. Now Volkswagen is planning a successor due in by 2015 that Volkswagen will also reintroduce to US market as part of the revitalisation of its flagship sedan. According to latest reports Volkswagen will dump the Group D1 Platform for more sophisticated and newer MLP version. Stay tuned for more information on Volkswagen Phaeton.
