Volkswagen has provided an early glimpse of the upcoming E-Bugster Speedster Concept convertible that Volkswagen is bringing to China later this month to be officially unveiled at the 2012 Beijing International Motor Show. Powered by 85kW electric motor the VW E-Bugster Speedster Concept is capable of reaching 100km/h in 10.5 seconds, offers up to 180km of environmentally friendly open top motoring with rapid recharge capability that Volkswagen claims can take as little as 35 minutes. Whilst the latest VW Beetle derivative is only a concept the Volkswagen E-Bugster Speedster should provide some indication on what is to be expected from Volkswagen and the convertible version of all-new VW Beetle that Volkswagen is planning to release by 2013.
