Attractive Coupe like styling revitalises the sort of appeal mainly associated with two door sport coupes. Growing popularity of such innovative design firstly introduced through Mercedes Benz sleek CLS has been adopted by many other manufacturers. Volkswagen is no exception, except it did it rather well with its own version of Passat CC demonstrating its ability to recreate such design without too many compromises winning Drive.com.au 2009 car of the year / Best luxury car under $60,000. Originally introduced as a four seater only, it now offers optional five seats alternative for the European market. Hopefully this option will eventually channel through to Australia. Apart from sharing its name with standard Passat this CC version is anything but when compared to the original sedan. Dimensionally it is bigger, wider and longer from any angle.
Due to its coupe like construction it is also lower to the ground. Its curvy lower body, sharply descending roofline that meets its distinctive rear taillights, creased side lines, wide grill opening in line with added front bumper went, with no sign of chrome shortage resembles rather sporty yet luxurious look.
