Toyota long term involvement with Hybrid technologies continues to pay dividends with yet another milestone with four million units of sale worldwide as reported by Toyota. Since the first Prius introduction 15 years ago, Toyota now sells its popular Prius range right across the globe with over 15 Hybrid models.
This is what Toyota’s Group VP and GM Bob Carter had to say: “All of us at Toyota would like to sincerely thank our customers who have made the Prius the best selling Hybrid in the industry”, further adding, ” While we are proud of this accomplishment, we are not stopping here as hybrids will continue to be a core technology for Toyota.”
