Boys from STi Subaru added some fire into already potent Legacy (that is what they call it in Japan), increasing its output through Subaru 2.5 Litre flat four DOHC Turbo boxer, identical to WRX STi engine but with slightly detuned power figure down to 210kW and 350Nm from 221kW and 405Nm. Even under detuned condition, it still manages respectable 6.1 seconds from 0-100km/h. Available with six-speed manual or five-speed Automatic, also equipped with paddleshifter for faster, Driver controlled gear changes. Coming from Subaru, it is naturally equipped with effective all-wheel-drive system supported by tuned suspension and brakes, 18”STI wheels, and STi sport muffler. Introduction of STI front and rear spoiler lifted its muscularity to slightly more motor-sport focused level. Inside, red STi engine stop/start button takes care of the keyless function, 260km/h STi speedo and leather interior mixed with Alcantara trim further adding to the mild STi influences.
Limited to 600 examples only, it is highly unlikely any allocation will be made for Australia. Japanese Legacy tS will be available in both sedan and station wagon configuration.
