Ongoing advancement in electrically powered vehicles and the technology that is used has recently escalated the creativity amongst the auto manufacturers. And it looks like the race producing battery operated electric vehicles is in full swing after yet another addition to already colourful list from Skoda carmaker. Skoda, under extended Volkswagen arm, producing high quality vehicle from its Eastern Europe manufacturing facility, sharing many of its car components with Volkswagen family of cars is set to unveil its electrically powered Skoda Octavia in this year Paris Motor Show. Equipped with lightweight lithium-ion battery that feeds its 65kW electric motor promises claimed 135km range on single charge. Capable to be recharged from a normal household power point we are convinced it will be reconfigured to except three-phase high power rapid re-charge from available recharge stations or quick battery replacement option that will probably become widely available in the future. Its unclear if Skoda will push this electric concept into reality, but we can rest assured the technology will be shared in future upcoming electric cars produced under Volkswagen group.
