It has been some time since Volkswagen based Skoda cars have reached our shores. Receiving great reviews in Europe and right here in Australia, especially for its well presented luxurious Superb and practical mid size lift-back Skoda Octavia that has since gone through its facelift, Skoda Australia is now geared up to make its selection of Octavia even more affordable. Its recently introduced 5 door lift-back Skoda Octavia 90 TSI priced from $24,990 with 6 speed manual will be priced in line with cars that occupy smaller automotive segment. Adding seven speed DSG automatic transmissions will see the price grow to $27,290 whilst station wagon or estate, offering more luggage space will be priced at $26,990 for manual and $29,990 for DSG equipped model. Fitted with Volkswagen new 1.4 litre Turbo Petrol engine it will be good for 90Kw of power and 200Nm of torque consuming claimed combined fuel figure of 6.3L per 100km. Six airbags, Vehicle Stability Control with Traction, ABS with EBD complete the safety standard list. Followed by Audio with multifunction leather steering wheel supported by MP3 compatibility, auxiliary input, 15” alloys, Air, electric windows and mirrors, Cruise and central locking complete rest of the standard inclusion list. More expensive Octavia models will receive free GPS satellite navigation as part of its standard fitment.
And all of that makes this facelifted Skoda Octavia far better proposition when looking for mid size sedan or wagon.
