With the best of both worlds, Land Rover 2×4 or 4×4 midsized SUV Evoque is finally free to show off its futuristic design cues that can only be described as brilliant scoring it unconditional upmarket European feel. This is the smallest, lightest and most fuel efficient Range Rover ever. At first glance, and immediately won over by its front-end design with slimline headlights neatly connected with the honeycomb styled attractive grill connecting it to seamlessly integrated front bumper that reaches all the way up to its imposingly pumped out wheel arches. Tastefully underlined with a touch of greyed out sidelines highlighting its lower body followed through by creased door lines is yet another highlight of this remarkable achievement. Rear of the car can only be described as super smooth with minimalist approach trying to maintain its futuristic (different) look and feel, followed through with fast slopping roofline fitted with panoramic glass sunroof. Side on, and with its oversized 20” alloys, it gives out mixed impression of sport / SUV / Estate utility supported by superior styling.
Based on LRX concept borrowing heavily from Freelander 2 platform, it will be fitted with 2.2 Turbocharged Diesel engine mated to a new six speed automatic transmission.
Choice of three different trim levels offering standard, luxury and sport appointments will be available under Pure, Prestige and Dynamic code names.
As one would expect from Range Rover, interior finishes will be above standard, featuring double stitched leather, whole list of gizmo gadgets and effective 4-wheel drive off-road capability for those wishing to do bit of four-wheel driving. Otherwise, 2-wheel drive option would be best suited for urban living.
