Mercedes Benz is almost ready to release its next second generation CLS responsible for introducing sleek 4 door coupe like vehicle back in 2004. Since then many tried to recreate something that Mercedes did exceptionally well. To this day there hasn’t been another example like CLS that proved to be so successful at creating a coupe like sedan that looked good from any angle. Expected to arrive late 2010 early 2011 the new CLS will have revised front and rear treatment followed by larger wheel archers giving more muscular look. We are yet to confirm interior changes but from what we know there will some technological addition to already huge list to further improve driver and passenger safety with the possible introduction of infrared night vision with head up display, automatic line guidance and 360 degree view camera. Its likely to be powered by new selection of V8 and V6 engines starting with CLS 350 powered by 225kW and 370Nm 3.5 litre V6
CLS 500 powered by 320kW and 700Nm twin turbo 4.7 litre V8 CLS55 AMG powered by 5.5 litre twin turbo direct injection engine and possible CLS 320 CDI powered by 3 litre V6 turbo diesel. Latest addition will see the old model replaced with more elegantly designed CLS.
