Refined Mazda2 introduces 4 door sedan to it’s line up. Recent introduction of four-door sedan so Mazda2 lined up increased beyond its 5 door hatch offering.
On top of that, Mazda improved equipment levels whilst reducing the price of this small vehicle making it even more affordable to own. Most evident visual changes are evident in the front of the car with the large bumper opening that brings more in line with Mazda identity face. Sedan version looks more awkward then hatch alternative but offers more storage space. Prices start from $16,500* all the way to $22,500*. Standard safety features includes ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control with Traction control and front dual airbags. More popular Maxx also receives side and curtain airbags that demands $400 extra charge for the safety pack in the cheaper version. Inside Mazda2 Neo will offer single CD player with auxiliary input that is also MP3 compatible, power windows, power mirrors, seat height adjustment, air condition and remote central locking as standard. Down the middle the Mazda2 Maxx will offer 6 stacks CD player with steering mounted controls, unique cloth trim, alloy wheels and rear spoiler whilst top of the line Mazda2 Genki will offer leather wrapped steering wheel, 16” alloys with aero body kit and front fog lumps. All Mazda2 variants are offered with single engine option of 1.5l 16V 4 cylinder engine mated to four speed automatic or five speed manual transmission driving the front wheels. Maximum power is rated at 76kW and 135Nm. Mazda claims 6.4l / 100kms fuel consumption urban / hwy combined with 5 speed manual variant and just 0.4 l/100kms more for the automatic version.
