This year Paris motor show is full of surprises from just about every stand. Including Kia, displaying its own version of economical Hybrid crossover Kia Sportage. Powered by economical 1.7 Litre CRDi “U2” Turbo Diesel engine developing 90kW of power with solid 270Nm of torque further aided by 5kw double capacitor electric motor. Kia is yet to advise of estimated fuel consumption but based on what is already known those figures are expected to be somewhere around 4-4.5L/100km. Its unclear if Kia “mild hybrid” Sportage will ever be produced, and if so, what drive configuration will it offer, 2WD or 4WD. Nevertheless, we hope this one would find its way to Kia dealership showrooms.
