Jaguar has decided to drop the 5.0L V8 option in favour of 250kW 3.0L supercharged V6 engine for its updated 2013 Jaguar XJ flagship that together with all-new 8-speed automatic and other fuel saving technologies such as automatic engine stop/start function will lower its fuel consumption by up to 15% over its predecessor in exchange for slight reduction in the overall performance that will see the 2013 XJ version delivering 35 fewer kilowatts than the 5.0L V8. Furthermore, 2013 Jaguar XJ has also benefited from re-tuned suspension that Jaguar says should improve the XJ overall comfort levels. Jaguar is yet to release more detailed information on performance, emissions and full specifications of its upcoming 2013 Jaguar XJ.
