Its seems that China’s demand for stretched out medium size premium sedans continues to gain in popularity with Infiniti joining Audi, BMW and Mercedes with its own quest to attract this section of the Chinese market to its stretched-out Infiniti version with not one but two “L” Infiniti M. Adding almost 15cm to its wheelbase both long wheelbase variants offer identical mechanical set-up as the standard models except for M35hL VQ35 3.5L V6 Hybrid mixture increased output that according to Infiniti grew by almost 16%. Infiniti M25L remains unchanged at 175kW / 255Nm from the 2.5L V6 unit. Whilst the M25L will be targeting budget carriers with significantly lower price tag the M35hL will be fully loaded with innovative premium features such as Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Cruise Control with collision Prevention feature, and Forest Air climate control. Both LWB models will go on sale in China by June 2012.
“The Infiniti M long-wheel-base available in M35hL and M25L normally aspirated versions is the first high-end Infiniti luxury sedan tailor-made for Chinese customers. It strikes a perfect balance between outstanding performance and environmental sustainability and brings a new challenger to China’s premium market. “
