Soon to be unveiled, Honda growing Hybrid models is soon to be joined by Honda Jazz Hybrid. Honda will showcase its latest creation at this year October Paris Motor Show. Featuring revised front and rear bumper, clear rear lenses, new grill with featured headlight blue outline to give its own individuality, separating it from standard Jazz models.  Modest interior tweaks will also include critical operational data of the Hybrid performance providing valuable driver focused info. Mechanically it will borrow existing Hybrid hardware from Honda Civic. Using already proven and tested piece of hardware will be very beneficial for Honda Jazz Hybrid shielding it from unexpected future complication as most of the functionality or performance issues would have already been ironed out under Civic Hybrid programme.
One point of difference that is worthwhile noting is Honda reconfigured Hybrid powertrain enabling Honda Jazz Hybrid to run solely on electric motor at low to moderate speeds, as advised by Honda. Using 1.3 Litre SOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine with permanent electric motor and regenerative recharge under braking functions develops 85kW of power with 170Nm of torque channelling its power through CVT type transmission. Civic Hybrid claimed fuel consumption of 4.7L/100km is expected to be matched by Honda Jazz Hybrid.
Expected to hit the showrooms in Europe early 2011, Australian delivery is yet to be confirmed.
