R8 GT limited production will be limited to 333 examples only. Audi decision to build this improved more powerful version of Audi R8 was to provide Audi loyalists with a performance car capable of delivering equal level of refinement and performance in line with Porsche and Ferrari newest additions. Mechanicals remain the same with Lamborghini derived V10 engine with 6 speed sequential manual gearbox that has been tweaked to produce 6.7% more power rated at 412kW with 2% extra torque with 540Nm. In line with Audi approach to weight reduction by replacing some original component with lightweight materials achieved further 90kg weight reduction on R8 GT Limited version. Carbonfibre has been used to replace existing rear hatch, bumper bar and Aero wing. Front Windscreen has been thinned down whilst rear has been replaced with polycarbonate window. Guards are filled with lightweight massive carbon ceramic brakes hidden behind lightweight 19” alloys. On the inside Audi shredded some weight by replacing the interior seats and carpet with lightweight alternative. Combine those two and you end up with improved 0-100km/h of 3.6 seconds with 320km/hr top speed. With limited production numbers the pricing is expected to be significantly higher than standard version.
