Introduced in 2008, the all new Audi TT will receive revised front end styling with modest tweaks to its grille, including horizontally running splines, enlarged front bumper intakes and set of day time running LED lights that are neatly squeezed at the bottom of the headlight assembly. Similarly, rear taillights are also subject to slight overhaul receiving elusive changes in line with new exhaust chrome outlets and minimalist rear diffuser modification. Although looking very similar to the model it replaces the biggest changes will be under the hood. Modest power output of the TT 2.0 Litre TFSI engine has been increased from 147Kw to 155Kw. However, introduction of Audi Valvelift into its well respected turbo four helps to generate massively improved torque increased from 280Nm to 350Nm. Rest of the superb drive train remains untouched offering 6 speed manual transmission or upper-spec six speed S Tronic dual clutch mated to Audi TT all wheel drive Quattro set-up. Performance figure improvement is responsible for slicing 0.4 second from its current 6.5 seconds 0-100km/hr pace in basic form whilst 0.8 seconds in S Tronic Quattro configuration. Far superior achievement with this midlife update will see the fuel consumption plummeting down to 6.6L/100Km from 7.7L/100km. Slight increase in aluminum insertsĀ have finding its way into Audi TT cabin. Adding to personal individuality a choice of three new cabin colour combination is also on the menu. Scheduled to arrive Down Under in early next year pricing of the updated Audi TT is yet to be announced by Audi Australia.
